ABOUT OBEY
In June 2021 the American street artist Shepard Fairey – Obey, created the work “Rise Above Bird” with the limited edition screen printing technique on paper; all the serigraphs created were signed and numbered by Shepard Fairey himself.
Regarding the work of art made, Shepard Fairey wrote “ The Rise Above Bird is a simple twist on the white peace dove with olive branch, but hey, good guys don’t always wear white! The “rise above” is a call to take the high road with a nod to one of my favorite Black Flag songs. Peace is radical punk!”.
